Seasonal Men's Associate
About The Position
The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience, demonstrates products, replenishes and restocks merchandise, maintains product knowledge, and assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves. Associates help customers make buying decisions by assessing their needs and recommending products, while promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up. The position works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations on work procedures, policies, and practices. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience.
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
- Ability to communicate with customers and associates in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
- Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale register system.
- Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
- Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally move or lift objects up to 100 pounds or more using a team lift as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help create a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Replenish and restock merchandise in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
- Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
- Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
- Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
- Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
