About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including promptly and courteously greeting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by demonstrating products, maintaining product knowledge, replenishing and restocking merchandise, maintaining pricing and signage, and assisting with seasonal merchandise moves. The Sales Outfitter helps customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures and some independent judgment. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during the shift.
• Ability to move objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lift or move objects up to 100 pounds or more with team-lifting assistance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and in a friendly manner.
• Handle merchandise with care and provide customers with information, assistance, and direction.
• Support a strong commitment to customer service and a pleasant shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines and as required.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Identify and evaluate customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Use established procedures and occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend improvements to work procedures, policies, and practices.
