About The Position

This role is responsible for replenishing pick areas, sorting, lifting, and stacking boxes and finished product. The Material Handler will transport and load materials, supplies, and finished goods using hand jacks or powered industrial trucks. They will safely operate various equipment such as box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, and machinery including conveyors, tapers, labelers, palletizers, and bailers. The position requires the ability to work safely around moving equipment and conveyors, stand/walk on concrete floors, read and comprehend basic order forms, and communicate effectively. The work environment is non-climatically controlled throughout the year.

• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Replenish pick areas by moving boxes from pallet locations to flow racks
• Sort, lift and stack boxes as well as finished product correctly onto pallets
• Transports and load materials, supplies and finished goods (manually and/or using hand jacks or powered industrial trucks)
• Safely operates various types of equipment to include but not limited to i.e., box knives, tape guns, electronic handheld devices, RF scanners, etc.
• Safely operates machinery to include but not limited to conveyors, tapers, labeler, palletizer and bailers
• Must be able to work safely around moving equipment and conveyors
• Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors
• Must be able to read and comprehend a basic order form and be able to communicate well with others
• Work in non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment
• May work in different areas (departments) in Operations based up business needs
• Adheres to facility hours or operation to include overtime and weekends
• Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment
• Other duties as assigned
