About The Position

The City of Auburn is looking for hardworking, team players to assist our Parks Department in maintaining our golf course. We have several temporary and seasonal maintenance positions open and would love to have you join our team! Employees who perform successfully in these roles have the opportunity to be placed on an eligibility list for future permanent, full-time, benefit eligible positions in a Maintenance Worker I classification. Successful temporary/seasonal workers will be given priority for these positions and will be scheduled for additional interviews and/or skills testing. Temporary and seasonal positions are available 20-40 hours per week. Some positions start immediately. However, hiring may continue through the Spring and Summer months, depending upon the needs of each division.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Possess a valid Washington State Driver's License.
• Steel-toed shoes on first day of employment- furnished by the employee.
• If selected, for an interview, a current abstract of your driving record is required at the time of interview.

Responsibilities

• Duties may include mowing and weeding; collecting litter; maintaining facilities; and preparing athletic fields.
• Employees will perform other related work as required.
