About The Position

The YMCA is seeking Seasonal Maintenance Staff to assist with groundskeeping and general upkeep of seasonal camp properties. This role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the facilities are well-maintained and presentable. The position requires an individual who can work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and be ready for diverse assignments. Previous experience with children is considered a plus.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Applicants must submit a completed application.
• Must have summer availability from June to August.
• Must be able to work 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.
• Must be able to work independently with an on-the-go attitude.
• Ability to prioritize needs while carrying out a regular checklist of tasks.

Nice To Haves

• Previous handyman, custodial, or maintenance experience.
• Previous experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Landscaping, lawn mowing, raking, removing brush, laying mulch, and general grounds keeping.
• Painting, light repairs, replacing lights, and cleaning windows.
• Upkeep and general maintenance of seasonal camp properties.
• Light cleaning and sanitization including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
• Responding to maintenance requests.
• Other duties as assigned, which may include team projects, plumbing, beach maintenance, and facility maintenance.
