About The Position

Killam Apartment REIT is seeking a Seasonal Lead Hand, Grounds to join their team in Antigonish, NS, from May to September 30, 2026. This is a supervisory, hands-on role focused on maintaining the curb appeal of Manufactured Home Communities (MHC) through planning and landscaping. The successful candidate will lead a small grounds team to ensure properties are well-maintained.

Requirements

• 1-2 years previous labour/maintenance experience;
• Previous supervisory experience required;
• Must have a valid driver’s license and personal transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating a small tractor with a backhoe attachment would be considered an asset;
• Experience in some carpentry would be considered an asset;
• Ability to work as a team and under minimal supervision;

Responsibilities

• Landscaping duties including but not limited to laying sod or seed, mowing, trimming, weeding, etc.;
• Producing and maintaining ditches and French drains;
• Operating vehicle to relocate tractor and mowers to different parks;
• Supervising and leading a small team of seasonal grounds people;
• Other duties as assigned.
