About The Position

The City of O'Fallon, MO is looking to hire a knowledgeable and dependable Seasonal Landscape Worker - Level II. This position involves working each day in the beautiful city grounds of O'Fallon. As part of our Parks Department, you will be responsible for assisting in the beautification and maintenance of City streets, parks and City facilities as directed by Landscape Division staff. Generally, your schedule will be Monday Friday from 7 am to 3:30 pm. This position is not just a summer position, and hours are available approximately nine months out of the year.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• The ability to lift and carry 50 pounds 100 feet
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time
• The ability to withstand weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
• Possess a valid Missouri driver's license
• Have the ability to work Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm

Nice To Haves

• Comfortable operating motorized equipment such as pick up trucks, zero turn mowers, string trimmers, blowers
• Ability to safely tow a 20' trailer through traffic
• Previous mowing experience
• Ability to coordinate and supervise a small crew
• Exhibit self-motivation by always looking for ways to improve their knowledge and skills

• Maintain their assigned vehicles and equipment with care

Responsibilities

• Regularly mowing municipal properties on a set weekly schedule
• Assisting with responsibilities associated with Landscaping, which may include mulching, planting, mower and cleaning up shrubs and litter
