About The Position
The Department of Public Services is hiring Seasonal Crew Members to help keep the city clean, green, and running smoothly. This is a hands-on, outdoor job where you can make a real difference in the community. The position is full-time, temporary, with 40 hours per week, and runs from March to October.
Requirements
- Valid Michigan driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or in small teams
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
- Consent to undergo background checks and drug screenings
Responsibilities
- Collect trash and empty public waste containers
- Assist with recycling and yard waste pickup
- Support mowing and grounds maintenance
- Operate lawn mowers, weed whips, and hand tools
- Perform other duties as assigned
