About The Position

Amoroso Woodridge is seeking a seasonal candidate for the summer to assist in their facility. This role is ideal for someone with experience in drywall repair, finishing, and painting, who possesses a keen eye for detail. Amoroso Woodridge is a short-term rehabilitation and long-term care facility looking for compassionate and empathetic individuals for a rewarding position.

Requirements

• Previous experience in construction, general labor, or commercial/residential painting is highly preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs), and safely perform physical duties like standing, bending, and working at heights.
• Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and inside construction/renovation environments.
• Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record may be required for operating company vehicles.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Capable of lifting and moving equipment up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Regular standing, kneeling, stooping, reaching, twisting, and working on ladders.
• Exposure to paint fumes, dust, noise, and seasonal weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Scrape, sand, wire-brush, power-wash, and repair damaged surfaces (e.g., spackling drywall, filling holes, and caulking).
• Apply high-quality primers, paints, and protective coatings to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Protect surrounding areas with drop cloths, tape, and plastic. Ensure work areas are cleaned, debris is removed, and equipment is properly stored.
• Assist full-time maintenance staff with other facility repairs, event setups, and groundskeeping tasks as needed.
• Adhere to all OSHA and site safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
