About The Position

The Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) seeks two Seasonal Laborers I at Roxbury Heritage State Park. Seasonal Laborers perform and assist with grounds and facility maintenance and conservation work. The position is scheduled from November 15, 2026, through March 20, 2027. Work schedules and days off are determined by the supervisor, and the role may require weekend and holiday work. If the position involves working fewer than 90 days, it will revert to a short-term position, with the salary rate discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

No minimum entrance requirements are specified.
A current and valid Motor Vehicle Operator's License may be required based on assignment.

Responsibilities

Perform and assist with grounds and facility maintenance, including cutting grass, raking leaves, watering, painting, removing rubbish, cleaning restrooms, and beautifying parks and facilities.
Use a variety of hand tools as needed.
Operate motor vehicles and light trucks as needed, including loading and unloading supplies and equipment.
Greet and assist park visitors and provide information about the facility.
Collect fees based on assignment.
Perform other related duties as required.
