About The Position

Naples Botanical Garden is seeking seasonal staff to act as Wayfinders for the Johnsonville Night Lights event. Wayfinders will be positioned at various locations throughout the Garden to provide guests with answers to questions and directions, and to share holiday cheer. The role is crucial in creating a warm, memorable guest experience through friendly interactions. The event runs from November 27, 2026, to January 10, 2027, with event times from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Sundays through Thursdays, and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Staff are expected to assemble at 5:30 pm for nightly assignments, radio checks, and announcements. This position requires a minimum of 15-20 hours per week at $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Excellent people skills, kind and respectful collaboration, and pleasant attitude with fellow staff and Garden visitors.
• Ability to interact with a diverse group of visitors.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work a consistent weekly schedule.
• Pre-employment background check required.
• Must work a minimum of 3 shifts per week, one shift each week on a Saturday or Sunday.

Responsibilities

• Answer guest questions.
• Provide directional guidance.
• Warmly greet guests in your assigned area.
• Notify Manager on Duty of any safety or security issues.
• Share basic Garden information with guests regarding annual theme and Johnsonville Night Lights event.
• Communicate with staff via Garden radio.
