About The Position

This role provides hands-on experience in troubleshooting, system support, and project-based IT initiatives. The Seasonal IT Support Specialist will assist with hardware and software maintenance, network configuration, user support, and other projects as determined by the Vice President of Technology while gaining valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of a professional IT department.

Requirements

  • Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
  • Multitasking
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • General awareness of desktop support best practices
  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs.
  • Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situations.
  • Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer, tablet, telephone, copier, facsimile, printer, scanner and calculator.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day.
  • Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
  • Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of credit union’s software platforms (Episys Quest, Synergy)
  • Basic understanding of Credit Union’s internal processes and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Assist the IT team with day-to-day operations and support tasks.
  • Participate in various IT projects, including software development, network management, and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Help trouble-shoot and resolve technical issues for internal users.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations for IT solutions.
  • Document processes and create user guides for IT systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to: The Bank Secrecy Act, The Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.
