About The Position

The Inventory Control Clerk II manages warehouse inventory to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment of customer requirements. This role involves accurately evaluating and recording incoming inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS), reviewing and processing inventory requests, positioning inventory to meet service standards, and researching and resolving non-standard inventory issues. The position requires safe operation of various warehouse tools and equipment, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Responsibilities also include executing IWS requests, investigating and correcting inventory errors using systems like IWS and AS400, and conducting system research and updates using mobile workstations and scanners. Additionally, the role may involve preparing products, transferring inventory, and providing backup support for receiving operations.

Requirements

Previous experience in systematic inventory management preferred.
Proficiency in department computer systems including AS400 and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

Accurately evaluate and record incoming inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Review and process inventory requests from operational departments.
Position inventory to meet service standards.
Research and resolve non-standard inventory issues.
Safely operate warehouse tools and equipment, including box knives, tape guns, RF scanners, handheld devices, conveyors, tapers, labelers, palletizers, and bailers.
Follow safety protocols when working around moving equipment and conveyors.
Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
Read and interpret order forms and communicate effectively with team members.
Work in a non-climate-controlled environment year-round.
Execute IWS requests for cartons and products and verify inventory based on system-generated requests.
Investigate and correct carton/tote errors caused by system no-reads and similar issues using IWS and AS400.
Conduct system research and updates using mobile workstations and hand/wrist scanners.
Prepare products and transfer inventory from AMR totes to cartons for warehouse storage.
Provide backup support for receiving operations as needed.
Sort, move, and load materials/finished goods using manual and material-handling equipment.
Work in various operational areas based on business needs.
Comply with facility schedules, including overtime and weekend shifts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
