About The Position

Join Harbor as an Inventory Control Clerk and help keep our warehouse running accurately and efficiently. In this Monday-Friday day-shift role, you will audit inventory, resolve discrepancies, update warehouse systems, and work with operations teams to keep product moving for Retail and Foodservice customers. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data, learning new systems, and staying accurate in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The right candidate can work independently, communicate clearly, and partner well with warehouse, supervisor, and management teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve problems.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Comfortable learning and utilizing technology, warehouse systems, and data-entry applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including: One-on-one communication, Small group interaction, Professional email and chat communication
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and functional teams.
  • Ability to perform tasks in a warehouse environment and safely operate material handling equipment after training and certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, supply chain, distribution, retail, foodservice, or a related business field.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS), enterprise software, or inventory management systems.
  • Forklift certification or prior experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inventory audits, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, overages, and product location issues.
  • Analyze inventory data and identify trends, concerns, or opportunities for process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management and business systems.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications to track, analyze, and report inventory information.
  • Support receiving, replenishment, picking, and shipping operations through inventory transactions and system updates.
  • Communicate inventory issues and resolutions effectively with warehouse personnel, supervisors, and management.
  • Assist with product investigations, adjustments, returns, and inventory-related reporting.
  • Follow company safety standards and operational procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and electric pallet jacks, as required and in accordance with company safety policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
