About The Position

The University of Louisville Athletic Department is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Seasonal Instructional Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving Program for the 2026-2027 academic year. The primary focus of this position will be assisting with our Diving program. The Seasonal Instructional Coach for the Men's and Women's Diving Program will provide sport-specific instruction/coaching on an individual and/or team basis. This position may assist coaches and/or athletics personnel with on-campus or local recruiting. The Seasonal Instructional Coach will report to the Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive or his/her designee. This is a fixed-term salaried position through May 31, 2027, earning $1,200 per month.

Requirements

• Eight years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CPR/AED Certification.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ARMS database, meet submission databases, and internet.

Nice To Haves

• Prior work experience within a collegiate, club, or professional sports setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-deck instruction to student athletes.
• Organize workout data entry for student athletes (e.g., power rack workouts).
• Submit electronic meet entries for college meets and USA Swimming competitions.
• Organize and order equipment for the team.
• Participate in all staff discussions with departmental personnel.
• Assist in identifying prospects/recruits who fit the needs of the program.
• Assist Coaches and/or athletics personnel with on-campus or local recruiting for prospective student athletes, including but not limited to assisting with creating an itinerary for a visit to the University of Louisville, accompanying recruits on campus tours, and attending sporting events or meals with recruits.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach Men’s and Women’s Swim and Dive, or his/her designee.
