About The Position

The Seasonal ICQA Team Member role is a seasonal position supporting the Inventory Control and Quality Assurance (ICQA) team during peak volume. This role is crucial for ensuring product accuracy and safety within the distribution center. The team member will audit and resolve inventory defects, research root causes, and implement solutions to improve inventory accuracy. They will also collaborate with leaders, utilize lean methodologies, and ensure operational efficiency by addressing inaccuracies that affect picking and order fulfillment. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and upholding Target's values.

Requirements

  • 2 years prior work experience as a warehouse worker, operations technician, quality control technician, or similar warehouse operator.
  • Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to lift and carry merchandise weighing 35-45 lbs. frequently throughout a shift and up to 60lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to read, utilize matching skills and comprehend department/product documentation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to operate computer systems with minimal direction after receiving training.
  • Ability to research defects/issues and root cause the drivers of those defects.
  • Ability to navigate web-based ICQA reporting and forms (such as Smartsheet) with minimal direction after training.
  • Ability to perform basic data entry and analysis in excel or other web based forms.
  • Ability to be trained on powered equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Audit and resolve inventory defects within an assigned Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Research and document root causes of defects for follow-up and improvement of inventory accuracy.
  • Respond to defects found in warehouse locations, potentially utilizing powered equipment.
  • Perform weekly audits and communicate findings and resolution steps with the ICQA Leader and other operational leaders.
  • Utilize lean approaches, six sigma tools, and 5S techniques for workplace cleanliness and defect documentation.
  • Correct inventory record inaccuracies in the warehouse and conduct follow-up audits.
  • Address inaccuracies that impede operational teams from picking product, preventing downstream order cancellations.
  • Manage multiple priorities and processes while offering excellent service.
  • Anticipate leaders' needs and proactively solve problems.
