About The Position

At Bear Tooth, the primary responsibility of a server is to ensure that every patron has an exceptional dining experience. This involves welcoming guests, taking accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring that orders are delivered promptly and of high quality, processing payments, and working collaboratively with colleagues to meet each customer's specific needs and expectations. This position is seasonal and will end in mid-September with the conclusion of the summer season.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older with a current TAPS Card and Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card.
1+ year restaurant experience.
Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
Lift and carry 30+lbs.
Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
Bend, reach, stoop, move quickly, and wipe frequently
Work in close proximity to coworkers in a fast-paced environment
Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverage terminology

Nice To Haves

Previous serving or bartending experience is preferred but not required.
Open availability preferred; weekends required.

Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies
Extensive knowledge of the food, drink, and specials menus
Accurately take, ring in, and serve orders to the customers’ specifications
Able to use the POS systems with efficiency
Monitor guests throughout their visit, ensuring their satisfaction with products and services
Conduct all monetary transactions with attention to detail
Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
Communicate clearly and professionally with all persons in the restaurant
Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect
