Seasonal - Grain Operations/Scale Worker
About The Position
The Andersons, Inc. is seeking an individual to join their team as a Seasonal Grain Operations/Scale Worker. This role is responsible for weighing trucks, collecting samples, grading grain, checking quality, and communicating with the pit unloader. The position involves performing operations tasks related to the receiving, storage, cleaning, packaging, and shipping of grain. Key responsibilities include performing inspection activities such as probing trucks, operating grain handling and receiving equipment at truck dumps, and performing general housekeeping activities like bin clean-up. This role requires minimal job-related experience and is performed with close supervision. Duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail.
Requirements
- Minimal job-related experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
- Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet
Nice To Haves
- Previous grain operations experience preferred
