About The Position

Portland Rescue Mission is seeking a Seasonal Gift Processing Associate (Part-Time) to join their Christ-centered team. This role is crucial for supporting the ministry by handling financial donations with accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be a hard worker, enjoy repetitive tasks, and be willing to assist wherever needed, contributing to the integrity and excellence of the Finance Department.

Requirements

• Equivalent experience
• A personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Savior and a testimony of continued growth in faith

• Acts with integrity, honesty and knowledge to promote the culture, values and mission of Portland Rescue Mission
• Understanding of Excel formulas and creating files that will export donor data
• Composed and professional customer service
• Strong team player
• Experience in Mac and Microsoft Windows software
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. unassisted

Responsibilities

• Receiving and handling a large volume of financial donations with accuracy.
• Assisting the full-time Gifts Processing Associate in the daily processing of mail and electronic gifts.
• Inputting donations into the database.
• Preparing receipts.
• Maintaining Virtuous database accuracy.
• Responding to donor and staff requests in a timely and accurate way, ensuring a warm, customer-service oriented response.
• Ensuring donor database systems are managed with accuracy, security, and integrity to honor and protect donor data.
