Seasonal Fruit Evaluator
About The Position
Monitor pre-harvest and harvest for quality and quantity in a timely manner. Estimate the crop yields and assisting with harvest sequence. This role involves frequent travel to and from fields, with a company vehicle and fuel provided. The Seasonal Fruit Evaluator will assist in fruit evaluation management duties, monitor crop volumes and fruit sizing, track trees for in-field fruit cataloging, and assist in the harvest sequence and direction of harvest crews. The position also includes learning fruit sampling techniques, assisting in data entry and management of scientific resources, and training and supervision of seasonal workers.
Requirements
- Maintain a valid Driver’s License in good standing in order to operate a company vehicle.
- Familiarity with state specific food safety laws.
- Ability to see the “big picture” business perspective, but is willing to “roll up their sleeves” and do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to provide guidance and assistance to all levels of employees.
- Professional communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines consistently.

Nice To Haves
- Fruit Evaluation experience, with a specific emphasis in agriculture preferably within a production/manufacturing setting.
- Supplementary training and/or designations related to the quality assurance or food safety field, or equivalent education and experience, is desirable.
