About The Position

As we prepare for the upcoming flu season, VNA is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Registered Nurse to join our seasonal immunization team. This rewarding seasonal opportunity is ideal for a nurse who enjoys engaging with the community and making a meaningful impact on public health. In this role, you will administer flu vaccines at community clinics, employer events, schools, and other outreach locations. You will play an important role in protecting the health of our communities by delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered immunization services.

Requirements

Active Registered Nurse licenses in California
Current Basic Life Support certification
Current driver's license
Auto insurance
Reliable vehicle

Nice To Haves

Experience administering immunizations preferred

Responsibilities

Administer flu vaccines at community clinics, employer events, schools, and other outreach locations.
Deliver safe, efficient, and patient-centered immunization services.
Clinical new hire onboarding and training, maintaining new hire orientation program resources and development of resources to meet state and federal guidelines.
Works closely with QAPI Nurses and DPCS for Home Health and Hospice programs to determine new hire orientation needs, emerging interventions that require training and clinical needs of staff.
Executes and/or coordinates training for staff as needed for oasis, HIS interpretive guidelines, HHVBP, Case Management expectations. Emerging and challenging clinical interventions as identified through QAPI, surveillance and clinical or patient feedback.
Collaborates with Director of Compliance for identification of staff development needs.
