About The Position

The Seasonal Events Associate performs duties associated with store events and participates in short-term assignments and seasonal events to support the store throughout the year. The role supports a world-class customer service commitment and helps provide a pleasant, productive, and legendary customer experience by identifying customer needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.

The associate assists with seasonal events, facilitates in-house outdoor skills workshops, participates in scheduled store events, and maintains a clean, neat, and safe work area. The position works under general supervision using established procedures and some innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and recommend changes to work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to perform data entry and analyze reports and ledgers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and other associates.
• Good customer service skills.
• Ability to function in a noisy and hectic environment with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive shopping experience for customers.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, children, and customers.
• Assist with the execution of seasonal events.
• Facilitate in-house outdoor skills workshops.
• Participate in store events as scheduled.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
