About The Position

Stovepipe Wells, located in Death Valley National Park, is seeking a Seasonal Dishwasher for their Winter 2026 season. This role is crucial for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of the kitchen operations within a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort. Stovepipe Wells is operated by POWDR, an adventure lifestyle company focused on creating inspiring experiences in unique locations. Requirements

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support kitchen operations.
  • Maintain CA Food Handler Card.
  • Understand and follow all ESQ procedures.
  • Work with a “safety-first” attitude.
  • Treat customers, co-workers, and leadership teams with respect.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Be trained in the proper use and care of assigned PPE.
  • Report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Experience working in a national park or remote location.

Responsibilities

  • Take direction from Kitchen Manager and F&B Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, visitors, servers and coworkers.
  • Ensure the kitchen and work areas are clean and sanitized, maintaining good housekeeping, and proper labeling and storage in line with CA Food Handling Safety Standards.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and provide coverage support as needed, in coordination with management, to ensure operational continuity.
  • Work weekends, nights, and holidays as business needs dictate.
  • Maintain CA Food Handler Card and follow set practices in the kitchen environment.
  • Be open to education/training, coaching and learning on a continuous basis to improve.
  • Complete all cleaning and sanitizing protocols, wear gloves, in line with food safety.
  • Report illness to the management team when sick.
  • Answer server and guests’ questions via the servers, being friendly and accommodating.
  • Be dressed for work in a clean, pressed and complete uniform with nametag.
  • Wear clean, proper footwear.
  • Be helpful and professional with coworkers, respectfully starting and ending shifts on time, and leaving stations clean, organized, sanitized and prepared for the following shift.
  • Understand and follow all ESQ procedures that relate to your job duties.
  • Work with a “safety-first” attitude.
  • Minimize environmental impact at work and living onsite.
  • Treat customers, co-workers, and leadership teams with respect and project a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Report defective, damaged, or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager.
  • Accept new responsibilities and transfer others as the role evolves.
