About The Position

Stovepipe Wells in Death Valley National Park is seeking a Seasonal Dishwasher for their Winter 2026 Season. This role is part of an adventure lifestyle company that inspires guests with cool experiences in awesome places. Stovepipe Wells is a welcoming, safe, and environmentally responsible resort providing accommodations and services inside Death Valley National Park. The position offers a work culture to 'Journey Beyond the Ordinary' and requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime to support kitchen operations. The resort is operated by POWDR under a long-term concession contract with the National Park Service.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Must have a CA Food Handler Card.
  • Must be dressed for work in a clean, pressed and complete uniform with nametag.
  • Must wear clean, proper footwear.
  • Must be helpful and professional with coworkers.
  • Must start and end shifts on time.
  • Must leave stations clean, organized, sanitized and prepared for the following shift.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a kitchen environment.
  • Experience with CA Food Handling Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Take direction from Kitchen Manager and F&B Manager.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, visitors, servers and coworkers.
  • Ensure the kitchen and work areas are clean and sanitized, maintaining good housekeeping, and proper labeling and storage in line with CA Food Handling Safety Standards.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule and provide coverage support as needed to ensure operational continuity.
  • Maintain CA Food Handler Card and follow set practices in the kitchen environment.
  • Be open to education/training, coaching and learning on a continuous basis to improve.
  • Complete all cleaning and sanitizing protocols, wear gloves, in line with food safety.
  • Do not work when ill and report illness to the management team.
  • Answer server and guests’ questions via the servers, being friendly and accommodating.
  • Be dressed for work in a clean, pressed and complete uniform with nametag.
  • Wear clean, proper footwear.
  • Be helpful and professional with coworkers, respectfully starting and ending shifts on time, and leaving the stations clean, organized, sanitized and prepared for the following shift.
  • Accept new responsibilities and transfer others as the role evolves.
