About The Position

Westfield Country Club is seeking a Seasonal Dining Room Server to join their food and beverage team. The role involves providing friendly service and genuine hospitality to guests in the clubhouse dining room. This is an opportunity to join a new team with a focus on personal development, learning, and valuing each team member. The club is opening a brand-new clubhouse in Spring 2026 with a state-of-the-art dining room and bar, a new pool facility, and an exciting new menu and concept.

Responsibilities

  • Serving food and beverages to guests in the clubhouse dining room.
  • Setting tables and bussing tables.
  • Running food to tables.
  • Operating the point of sale system and ensuring accurate member and department charges.
  • Handling cash and credit payments.
  • Accommodating guest requests and making menu suggestions with menu knowledge.
  • Ensuring guest happiness and satisfaction.
  • Maintaining sanitization in compliance with proper food safety and organization standards.
  • Performing side work tasks related to dining room operations.
  • Working cooperatively and effectively with peers and leadership.
  • Serving as back-up for other team members as assigned.
  • Minimizing customer service issues.
  • Learning details for all food and beverage menus and providing recommendation and substitution advice.
  • Serving food to customers, ensuring presentation standards are upheld, appropriate garnishes and flatware accompany the proper dishes, and adherence to food safety standards is strictly maintained.
  • Responsibly serving alcoholic beverages to guests according to state law and company protocol, verifying age by checking valid identification when appropriate.
  • Cleaning food preparation areas, work surfaces, and dining areas.
  • Monitoring supply inventory levels and notifying supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.
  • Assisting in the maintenance and cleaning of the dining room and server areas in compliance with all food safety and Hospitality standards of quality.
  • Greeting customers courteously, answering questions professionally and accurately, and escalating issues to leadership as necessary.
  • Operating cash registers or point of sale systems to process customer payments accurately.
  • Counting and reconciling cash transactions at the end of shifts and ensuring proper documentation.
  • Working collaboratively with other food service staff to ensure smooth operations and efficient customer service.
  • Communicating effectively and assisting team members as needed.
  • Preparing work area for daily operations by making sure the designated workstations are properly stocked and sanitized.
  • Achieving the high standards of quality, production, cooperation, and service set by the company for our employees, guests and customers.
  • Operating and cleaning beverage dispensers, coffee brewers, and other foodservice and beverage equipment.
  • Being assigned to events from time to time if business needs dictate.
