About The Position

This role is responsible for preparing production lines for operation, performing sanitation tasks, and operating and maintaining equipment. The technician will work closely with maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth production flow and will utilize mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and repair machinery. The position requires adherence to plant safety rules and attendance policies.

Requirements

Frequent bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), turning, twisting, and squatting.
Must possess a mechanical aptitude. May be required to take a mechanical test.
Must have computer skills and be able to acquire the appropriate skills in parsiable.
Must follow the Birds Eye Foods attendance policy for the Waseca Plant.

Responsibilities

Must be familiar with plant safety rules and guidelines.
Work with maintenance Manager/Supervisors and Maintenance lead to implement changes.
Work effectively with other departments.
Prepare production lines for production.
Perform sanitations as needed.
Have operational knowledge of all equipment in the area and ensure equipment is ready to run at the start of the shift.
Assist other maintenance in repair of line equipment when necessary.
Must be able to use mechanical tools and shop equipment.
Possess a mechanical aptitude in order to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment.
Perform other duties and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager/Supervisors and Maintenance Lead.
