About The Position

Arlo Hotels, an independent lifestyle hotel, is actively seeking a dynamic Rooftop Cocktail Server. This role focuses on individual drink service, strong menu knowledge, proper pacing, and upselling featured cocktails while maintaining attentive table service. Additionally, this position is responsible for managing table minimum spends, executing premium bottle presentations, upselling additional bottles, and delivering a high-level VIP experience. This role requires providing both cocktail and bottle service to all guests as part of the same position.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of high-volume cocktail experience and nightlife VIP service experience.
  • Strong knowledge and interest in food & beverage with a sincere interest in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong multitasking ability with confident upselling skills and strong sales-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage high-dollar transactions responsibly, knowledge of Micros POS systems, Credit card Authorizations, and collecting important transaction details from guest.
  • Able to work in a team environment and possess great communication skills, positive attitude under pressure, and professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to reach, climb up and down stairs, carry multiple objects, and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with guests and colleagues in a professional manner and support the team during peak hours.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures including setup of stations, cleaning, and re-setting of tables.
  • Ensure minimum spend goals are met before cut-off times.
  • Ensure guests’ orders are correct and delivered from the Bar and kitchen in a timely manner.
  • Accurately prepare checks, accept payment, ensure payment authorizations are secured, and all credit cards and personal items are given to the guest.
  • Uphold service standards to ensure a memorable guest experience.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment and knowledge of and strictly abides by state liquor regulations; verifies legal drinking age of guests as needed.
  • Develop relationships with guests in order to provide personalized service and repeat guests.
  • Communicate and work with the bussers, host, Lead bartender, and managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain high-energy, confident, and attentive demeanor at all times.
  • Perform job-related activities as required and understand table layouts/sections assignments/checklist given by a manager.
  • Provide strong knowledge of specialty cocktails, spirits, and menu offerings.
  • Perform exclusive cocktail & Bottle service to all guests.
