About The Position

Starfish Hospitality Group is expanding its team and seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals for seasonal positions. This role offers both full-time and part-time front-of-house opportunities, including work at the Sawdust Festival in Laguna Beach and on-call options for the OC area catering division. The ideal candidate enjoys fast-paced environments, outdoor work, and being part of a fun, energetic team, contributing to the group's Asian Coastal Cuisine concept across restaurants, catering, and concessions.

Requirements

• Previous serving or food service experience preferred, but not required
• Must be 18+ and authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Food handler certification
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Positive attitude and willingness to jump into different roles as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service in both catering and festival settings
• Represent the warmth and excellence of our Starfish brand
• Take orders, serve food and beverages, and process payments efficiently
• Assist with setup and breakdown of catering events
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
• Follow all health and safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with kitchen and event teams
• Adapt to varying event sizes, service styles, and customer needs
