Seasonal Cashier
About The Position
This is a 120-day assignment for a Seasonal Sales Associate. The primary purpose of this role is to be responsible for maintaining customer service as per company standards, generating sales, housekeeping, merchandising, signing, pricing, point of sale operations, processing freight, and loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and store standards. Essential duties include greeting and acknowledging every customer, answering customer questions, and helping customers find the location of products. The role also involves answering incoming phone calls, maintaining constant radio communication with all associates, and possessing comprehensive knowledge of the products Coastal Farm sells. Associates must maintain an awareness of all product knowledge information and merchandise promotions. Additionally, responsibilities include assisting in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, and store housekeeping. Other duties include helping in other departments when needed and performing daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, replacing full trash bags, and sweeping the department floor. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly
- Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email
- Strong attention to detail
