About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and efficient Bakery Prep Support team member to join our kitchen on a seasonal basis, approximate 2 month-term with the possibility of an extension or transition to a permanent role based on business needs and availability. This position functions as a flexible “floater” within the bakery, providing support across prep areas, production baking, packaging, and dishwashing. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment while collaborating closely with the bakery and kitchen teams. This seasonal role is well-suited for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and hands-on food preparation, with an opportunity to grow with the business if the need arises.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain organized in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to perform various kitchen tasks and assist team members as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when restocking or unloading supplies.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time and engage in repetitive movements in food prep and cleaning tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Previous kitchen experience or food prep experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of prep tasks across the bakery as needed, with a primary focus on savory components and items.
  • Prepare savory fillings, components, and menu items according to established recipes and production standards.
  • Work efficiently and professionally with teammates to ensure smooth daily operations and timely production.
  • Maintain organization, accuracy, and efficiency while meeting prep and service timelines.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, equipment, and shared kitchen areas in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Lift, stock, and restock ingredients and supplies; assist with unloading and organizing weekly deliveries.
  • Accurately follow recipes and prep guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Safely operate bakery and kitchen equipment, including mixers, ovens, and other prep tools.
  • Perform light dishwashing duties and maintain a clean workspace throughout and at the end of shifts.
  • Wrap, label, and date prepared items, following FIFO (First In, First Out) practices.
  • Provide coverage and assistance where needed, adapting to changing priorities throughout the day.
  • Complete other bakery or kitchen-related tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
