About The Position

Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Requirements

• Ability to monitor and provide instructions to guests
• Ability to perform all safety checks prior to attraction use
• Ability to monitor the attraction, following all safety and operational procedures
• Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times
• Works well in a fast paced, team environment
• Ability to work in variable weather conditions
• Ability to walk or stand on variable surfaces, including sand, mulch, concrete, or steel platforms
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, climb, twist, and reach for extended periods
• Ability to move 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Monitoring attractions on the farm, including pedal carts, big slide ride, jumping pillows, and Slide Mountain.
• Performing all safety checks prior to attraction use.
• Monitoring the attraction, following all safety and operational procedures.
• Interacting with guests in a friendly manner at all times.
• Working in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Working in variable weather conditions.
• Walking or standing on variable surfaces, including sand, mulch, concrete, or steel platforms.
• Standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, climbing, twisting, and reaching for extended periods.
• Moving 25 lbs.
