Seasonal Associate
About The Position
As a Seasonal Associate, you will be a welcoming first point of contact for families shopping with Carter’s. You will help customers find products for babies and young children, support their shopping needs, and contribute to a positive store experience. The role is part of a welcoming and inclusive environment that values team members’ skills and talents. Carter’s offers training, development, and opportunities to build skills and grow during a seasonal role or beyond. The position involves customer service and engagement in a busy retail environment, including assisting customers with product information, resolving issues, supporting omnichannel shopping, processing transactions, replenishing merchandise, and helping maintain a safe and clean store. Compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.00 per hour based on experience and location.
Requirements
- A positive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Demonstrated customer service and customer engagement skills.
- Effective, professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds as needed, with frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and climb up and down a ladder.
- Availability that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and assist them with product styles, features, and benefits.
- Proactively resolve customer issues and serve multiple customers in a busy retail environment.
- Assist with omnichannel needs to support a positive shopping experience.
- Execute and expedite point-of-sale and register transactions.
- Complete floor replenishment and shipment tasks as needed.
- Explain current promotional events and the brand loyalty program, including credit, to customers.
- Help minimize store loss through exceptional customer service and by maintaining a safe, clean store.
