About The Position

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Assembly worker for their 1st shift at their Indy North Distribution Center. This role involves various tasks related to product preparation for shipment, with opportunities for overtime during peak season (June-September). While this is a seasonal role, there may be opportunities for full-time employment after the season concludes. Requirements

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience - required
• Ability to repetitively lift boxes weighting up to 50lbs
• Proven success working in fast-paced, physically demanding seasonal periods
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout duration of 8 to 10-hour shift
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to be able to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership
• This position requires continuous and repetitive lifting of boxes weighing 50lbs+

Responsibilities

• Accurately label, sort, palletize, and wrap product for shipment
• Safely load product to correct carrier for shipment
• Assemble products according to detailed specifications and drawings
• Communicate with supervisors regarding discrepancies, damage, or order issues
• Adherence to all safety policies – steel toes required
