About The Position

Lakeside Book Company is seeking a Seasonal Assembly Material Handler for their Distribution Center. This role involves various tasks related to preparing and shipping products. Overtime opportunities are available, and there's a possibility of full-time employment after the seasonal period. This position is seasonal, expected to last through the facility’s peak season (June-September), with potential for extension or earlier end based on business needs. The pay is $17.50/hr with on-demand pay available. The shift is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, with mandatory overtime including Saturdays during peak season.

Requirements

• Previous warehouse, distribution, or logistics experience - required
• Ability to repetitively lift boxes weighting up to 50lbs
• Proven success working in fast-paced, physically demanding seasonal periods
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout duration of 8 to 10-hour shift
• Ability to communicate effectively in English (written and verbal) to be able to collaborate with team members and follow direction from leadership
• This position requires continuous and repetitive lifting of boxes weighing 50lbs+

Responsibilities

• Accurately label, sort, palletize, and wrap product for shipment
• Safely load product to correct carrier for shipment
• Assemble products according to detailed specifications and drawings
• Communicate with supervisors regarding discrepancies, damage, or order issues
• Adherence to all safety policies – steel toes required
