About The Position

The Seasonal Application Reader will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating college applications. This role requires a strong understanding of the Spelman College mission and a commitment to confidentiality. Selected candidates must be available for virtual training and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
• Prior experience in college admissions and holistic application review at a selective institution.
• Strong understanding of the Spelman College mission.
• Access to a personal computer and a secure internet connection.
• Commitment to the strictest levels of discretion and confidentiality.
• Must not have a conflict of interest (e.g., undergraduate admissions at other institutions, high school counselor, independent educational consultant).
• Must not be the parent, guardian, or immediate family member of a high school junior or senior.
• Available for two weeks of virtual training in September.
• Assertive and able to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret quickly.
• Intermediate skills using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Excellent typing skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Slate or similar CRM.

Responsibilities
