About The Position

About Vala’s Located in Gretna, Nebraska, Vala’s is a family owned and operated fall festival open to the public 45 to 55 days a year and is a treasured fall tradition for many families in the surrounding communities. Vala’s property spans 400+ acres, including over 50 attractions, such as pick-your-own pumpkins, apples, and flowers, and over 25+ food locations. Our mission at Vala’s is to bring happiness to the world by creating a place where magical memories are shared between families and friends- one person, one pumpkin, one experience at a time.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Interest in orchard processes and guest service - experience not required.

Responsibilities

Directing guests in the orchard and completing U-Pick apple and U-Pick flower transactions.
Facilitate educational opportunities for guests and school groups participating in U-Pick activities.
Using a script to communicate with groups of guests regarding the orchard, apples and the growing process.
Accurately record orders and process transactions using POS system.
Interacts with guests in a friendly manner at all times.
Ability to educate guests on all aspects of Vala’s apple orchard and apple varieties.
Ability to present educational information to groups of school children.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50lbs.
Ability to quickly resolve guest issues.
