This position is for a Seamstress at the Polynesian Cultural Center. The role involves measuring, cutting, sewing, and altering employee costumes or clothing according to approved patterns. The ideal candidate will be familiar with sewing tools, equipment, and machines. This role is suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, making it ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed introductory courses. Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time. The work schedule is 19 hours per week, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The base rate per hour is $14.00, with an approximate starting hourly rate of $14.00 - $16.00. The offered wage may be above or below this range based on education and experience. All new hires must complete the Form I-9 to verify their eligibility to work in the U.S. and must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations. Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks.
