About The Position

Overview Silent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. This role is located at our facility in Nisku and you must have a reliable transportation to commute. This role will be offered to work on a rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends). Overview The primary role of the Sealer/Prepper is to prepare equipment for painting through sealing, masking, sanding and other applications.

Requirements

Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds.
Must be able to distinguish colours.

Nice To Haves

Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset.
Previous experience working with sheet metal is an asset.
Previous autobody prep experience is an asset.
Ability to work independently.
The ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset.

Responsibilities

Operate sealing equipment or use filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting.
Mix, blend, and match paint colors.
Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns.
Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.
Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.
Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.
Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
Other duties as assigned.
