About The Position

Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a subsidiary of Johnson Controls, is seeking a Sealer/Prepper for their facility in Nisku. This role involves preparing equipment for painting through sealing, masking, sanding, and other applications. The position operates on a rotating day shift (6 AM - 6 PM, including weekends) and requires reliable transportation. The company focuses on designing, engineering, and manufacturing hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to distinguish colours.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of college/vocational or technical training in a related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with sheet metal is an asset.
  • Previous autobody prep experience is an asset.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate sealing equipment or use filler to fill holes, dents, and seams.
  • File, grind, and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Mask and tape surfaces in preparation for painting.
  • Mix, blend, and match paint colors.
  • Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns.
  • Monitor parts usage and report on any materials issues.
  • Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies.
  • Perform in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.
  • Other duties as assigned.
