About The Position

The Seafood Team Member works in the Seafood department at Stauffers of Kissel Hill’s Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location. This part-time position pays $14.00 per hour and requires open availability from 7am to 9pm, including flexible weekend availability. Standard shifts are between 9am and 9pm. The role includes maintaining seafood products, preparing and merchandising seafood and meal solutions, keeping the department clean and organized, assisting customers, and supporting inventory and restocking. Employees receive on-the-job training and leadership classes.

Requirements

Open availability from 7am to 9pm, including flexible weekend availability.
Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work in or around coolers, where employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

Maintain perishable seafood according to proper handling instructions.
Prepare, package, and merchandise seafood items for display cases and ready-to-eat or heat-and-eat meal solutions.
Clean department areas, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
Operate equipment when needed, if over 18 years of age.
Operate the price scale and maintain knowledge of current prices; price merchandise or change price tags using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
Receive, open, and unpack merchandise cartons and crates; check invoices against items received and promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
Rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
Set up and sign merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring products are ready on time.
Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items that need reordering or replenishment.
