About The Position

The Seafood Team Member maintains and prepares perishable seafood for sale, including packaging and merchandising seafood items and ready-to-eat or heat-and-eat meal solutions. The role includes keeping the department clean and organized, operating equipment when eligible, pricing merchandise, receiving and checking deliveries, rotating products, setting displays, fulfilling customer orders, and monitoring inventory. This is a full-time position at the Lititz Pike Fresh Foods location, with open availability from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and flexible weekend availability required. Standard shifts are between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. The stated wage is $16.00 per hour. Employees receive on-the-job training and leadership classes, and the company promotes from within.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have open availability between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. and flexible weekend availability.
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in or around coolers and regularly be exposed to cold temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain perishable seafood according to proper handling instructions.
• Prepare, package, and merchandise seafood items for display cases and ready-to-eat or heat-and-eat meal solutions.
• Clean the department, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases, and keep products and supplies organized.
• Operate equipment when needed, if over 18 years of age.
• Operate a price scale and use current prices; price merchandise or change price tags using the price list and coordinating with the scan department.
• Receive, open, and unpack merchandise cartons and crates; check invoices against items received and promptly clear restocking equipment and debris from the floor.
• Rotate products according to departmental guidelines.
• Set up and sign merchandise displays to attract customers and promote sales.
• Take and process customer orders according to customer requests, ensuring products are ready on time.
• Take inventory or examine merchandise regularly to identify items that need to be reordered or replenished.
