About The Position

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service in the Seafood Department. This role involves wrapping, trimming, stocking cases, and receiving merchandise. The clerk is expected to learn customer names, answer the phone, and work collaboratively with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. Key responsibilities include preparing seafood items for display, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and adhering to company policies.

Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions; deal with a few concrete variables.
Ability to do simple addition and subtraction; copying figures, counting and recording.
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies orally or in writing.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Food Safety training.
Six months previous related work experience.
Ability to see detail at near range with or without correction, depth perception, color vision, and field of vision.
Must be able to exert up to 85 pounds of force occasionally; exert up to 40 pounds of force frequently; and exert up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to perform balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, handling, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service.
Wraps, weighs, and labels product.
Reviews food for freshness, stocks cases, and rotates product.
Prepares and organizes seafood items for display.
Ensures the work area is clean and neat, following proper sanitation procedures.
Replenishes and organizes coolers.
Reports out-of-stock products.
Removes trash in a timely manner.
Maintains strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines.
Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
Prepares some signs for the department.
Orders replenishment merchandise as directed by management.
Assists in other areas of the store as needed.
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
