About The Position

The Seafood Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service, training and supervising seafood clerks, and managing the daily operations of the Seafood department. This includes maintaining inventory, ensuring product quality, and upholding company policies and merchandising standards.

Requirements

Ability to follow company customer service procedures.
Demonstrated prior customer service skills or related experience.
Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
Ability to work independently when necessary.
Ability to understand and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service as defined by the employer and company policy.
Train, schedule, and supervise seafood clerks to ensure optimal staffing.
Resolve customer problems related to the Seafood department's operation.
Implement the merchandising program according to division guidelines.
Operate electronic scanning scale to record weight of packaged items.
Apply price tags to wrapped items.
Obtain items from display cases for special customer orders.
Maintain cleanliness of the seafood area, including wiping spills, cleaning surfaces, and equipment.
Replace stock in seafood displays.
Remove expired items from shelves daily.
Perform daily inventory and order necessary product and supplies.
Monitor inter-office mail and company web page for updates.
Create signs for the department as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
