About The Position

The Seafood Lead is a lead hourly employee responsible for the day-to-day operation of the seafood section. The role provides direct customer service and works with helpers assigned to the section. Secondary duties include related activities as required or assigned.

Requirements

• Must be available to be scheduled 35 or more hours per week, including nights and weekends, based on department needs.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Reliable and dependable.
• Genuine interest in seafood merchandise.
• Repetitive lifting up to 50 pounds and occasional lifting up to 80 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with seafood merchandise is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct customer service and maintain customer relations.
• Receive, price, merchandise, and stock seafood products.
• Educate consumers and use suggestive selling.
• Rotate products and organize the cooler.
• Maintain housekeeping and sanitation in the section.
• Work with helpers assigned to the section.
• Perform related activities as required or assigned.
