About The Position

AVEVA is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Synergy Technical Manager to join the AVEVA team. This role is crucial for driving the enablement and adoption of AVEVA solutions with Schneider Electric. The position involves close collaboration with Schneider Electric sales teams to offer deep technical expertise and solutions guidance to shared customers and partners, facilitating the adoption and implementation of AVEVA within Schneider Electric solutions. The role demands profound technical knowledge of AVEVA solutions and the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and business audiences. The primary responsibility is to support Schneider Electric country sales teams in increasing business wins with AVEVA and to assist customers throughout their project development lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, IT programming, Code development, or Embedded Software Engineering, ideally with a strong IT focus.
  • Well-versed in IIoT and the convergence between IT and OT.
  • Knowledge in AVEVA solutions, Ops control, PI system, engineering, and MES + CONNECT.
  • Deep expertise in SCADA/DCS and industrial software.
  • Extensive experience in designing and deploying large-scale software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to simplify complex technical concepts for engineers, customers, and executives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging both technical and business audiences.
  • 4-6 years of experience in industrial software solutions.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Self-motivated and driven with a “must win” mindset and a desire to be successful.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a matrix organization.
  • Ability to influence and motivate individuals who do not report to you, to achieve shared KPIs through a collaborative and synergistic approach.
  • Early adopter with a sense of technical intensity to drive sales growth.
  • Commercial acumen and understanding of the role technical teams play in the sales cycle.
  • Industrial Automation and energy management technical expert with strong ability to build optimized solution architectures fitting the needs of customers (including channel partners such as Sis or POEMs) based on a broad technical knowledge.
  • In-depth understanding of the software market.
  • Solid commercial acumen to support Schneider Electric sales team in convincing and converting the customer to AVEVA solutions.
  • Ability to understand customers’ technical needs and propose an optimum architecture according to customers’ needs, providing clear explanations relative to solutions strengths and weaknesses, highlighting differentiating elements in a simple and convincing way.
  • Deep segment understanding which include but are not limited to: WWW, MMM, CPG (Food processing and Life Science), Energy and Chemicals (Including new green energy sub-segments), Infrastructure including logistics.
  • Must undergo and pass a drug screening and comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical pre-sales expertise and support to Schneider Electric teams on software architectures to accelerate sales growth and increase opportunity conversion rates using AVEVA solutions.
  • Act as the technical subject matter expert at the customer to define and implement the best software systems architecture using AVEVA solutions.
  • Work with shared customers to identify technical requirements and constraints for adopting AVEVA solutions, offering solutions that increase AVEVA consumption.
  • Create solution architectures, combined unique value propositions, and demos to support the sales team in convincing customers to use AVEVA solutions.
  • Be the first line support to Schneider Electric sales teams and their ecosystem to win customers and projects using AVEVA solutions.
  • Support customers with complex software challenges involving AVEVA solutions.
  • Conduct design audits and architecture assessments for mission-critical software projects.
  • Support Schneider Electric sales teams with demos and presentations at the customer site.
  • Work closely with key industrial customers and partners to understand their software challenges and tailor AVEVA solutions accordingly.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions, solution workshops, and customer roadmap discussions to drive adoption of AVEVA solutions.
  • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, pilot deployments, and industrial testbeds, ensuring successful implementation of AVEVA solutions.
  • Engage with executive stakeholders to define automation strategies, digital transformation roadmaps, and enterprise-wide implementation plans.
  • Support business development teams by providing technical insights, solution demonstrations, and competitive differentiators.
  • Design and build solution architectures to support customers using AVEVA solutions.
  • Support the creation of technical documentation, playbooks, and design guides using AVEVA solutions.
  • Conduct technical validation reviews for large-scale software projects, ensuring alignment between commercial and technical readiness.
  • Work with Schneider Electric COC (Center of Competence) and LOB (Lines of Business) to optimize system architecture and scalability of AVEVA solutions.
  • Support the training department with onsite training needs.
  • Create white papers, best practice guides, case studies, and knowledge-sharing content to promote AVEVA solutions.
  • Represent AVEVA in industry forums, conferences, and software groups.
  • Develop technical marketing content, including webinars, blog posts, and product demonstrations, to position AVEVA as an industry leader.
  • Engage with academic institutions and research organizations to drive awareness and adoption of AVEVA solutions in industrial and educational environments.
  • Build and maintain a demo area in your country/region.
  • Personalize UVP/storytelling to customer use-cases, creating technical demos to address customer pain points and sub-segment requirements.
  • Handle Q&A and provide examples and references relative to applications.
  • Draw, implement, and test AVEVA solutions combined with Schneider Electric architecture relative to customer applications.
  • Present outcomes to customers to gain their adoption by reducing risks.
  • Support the customer and/or System Integrator on the successful execution of AVEVA solutions.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction on projects, including commercial relationships alongside technical expertise.
  • Document all processes and changes made on-site and during customer engagement.
  • Create use cases and success stories from every project.
  • Share knowledge and best practices.
