We are looking for a highly experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who can independently design and build an end-to-end test automation framework from scratch. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Automation, Selenium, Playwright, and Java, and will play a key role in defining testing standards and ensuring high-quality software delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience building automation frameworks from scratch independently
- Strong experience in Test Automation concepts and methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver
- Hands-on experience with Playwright
- Strong programming skills in Java
- Experience with test frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, or similar
- Experience testing web-based applications
- Understanding of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation frameworks from scratch with minimal guidance
- Own the architecture, tool selection, and best practices for automation solutions
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Playwright
- Write clean, reusable, and scalable automation code using Java
- Establish automation standards, coding guidelines, and reporting mechanisms
- Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines
- Execute functional, regression, smoke, and integration tests
- Analyze test failures, log defects, and collaborate closely with development teams
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices
- Continuously enhance framework performance, reliability, and coverage
