About The Position

Client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented SDET / Automation Tester to join the Quality Engineering team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of payment processing applications and related systems. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on testing experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance Engineering, Automation Testing, or SDET roles.
  • Strong experience in manual and automated testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of payment processing systems, including Credit/Debit, EBT, and Gift Card transactions.
  • Understanding of ISO and UMF specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Splunk, Postman, Zephyr, and Jira.
  • Experience with Shell scripting.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a passion for quality assurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Exposure to API testing and backend validation.
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and CI/CD processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for Credit/Debit Cards, EBT, and Gift Card transactions.
  • Perform Functional, Regression, Integration, and End-to-End testing across multiple applications and platforms.
  • Identify, document, track, and validate defects using Jira and Zephyr.
  • Capture and analyze host and simulator logs for card brand submissions and troubleshooting.
  • Validate data accuracy, consistency, and system efficiency through detailed analysis and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Product, and Business teams to understand requirements and define effective testing strategies.
  • Create and maintain test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and test closure reports.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within QA and automation processes.
  • Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and defect triage meetings.
