About The Position

This role involves preparing, maintaining, and implementing test cases based on user stories, presenting results, and supervising defects to closure. The position requires developing and maintaining Java-based automation scripts for UI, API, and backend testing, applying Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, and performing API testing using Rest Assured and database validation using JDBC/JPA. The candidate will track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks, and construct end-to-end business scenarios. Responsibilities also include writing and optimizing SQL queries, developing a detailed understanding of the product, and being responsible for process compliance and associated documentation. The role also involves aligning risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk.

Requirements

Strong proficiency in Java programming, including: Collections Framework, Exception Handling, Streams and Lambda expressions.
Hands-on experience with Java-based test automation frameworks (Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and dependency management.
Experience with API testing (Rest Assured) and database testing (JDBC/JPA).
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, DB2, Snowflake).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Construct appropriate end-to-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals.
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered.
Responsible for process compliance & associated documentation.
Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately.
