About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated SDET / Functional POS QE with strong Retail Point-of-Sale (POS) domain expertise to support testing and quality engineering initiatives across store systems, and retail operations. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of functional testing expertise and automation skills, with hands-on experience. Experience with Oracle Xstore POS is strongly preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering/Testing experience with at least 3+ years in Retail POS testing.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Xstore POS preferred; other POS platforms or custom retail POS solutions are acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of retail store operations and POS transaction lifecycle.
  • Experience with Selenium, TestNG/JUnit, or other automation frameworks.
  • Strong SQL skills for backend validation and data testing.
  • Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or SOAP UI.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar test management and defect tracking tools.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end test scenarios for POS applications.
  • Develop and maintain test automation scripts using Java/Python-based frameworks and Selenium or equivalent tools.
  • Perform API testing for retail services supporting POS transactions, pricing, inventory, promotions, and order management.
  • Validate backend data using SQL queries to ensure accuracy of transactions, inventory updates, and financial reconciliation.
  • Test integrations between POS and enterprise systems.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirements reviews, defect triage, root cause analysis, and release validation activities.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, and store operations teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Support production deployments, UAT cycles, and post-release validation activities.
