About The Position

Odyssey has an exciting new opportunity providing Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) supporting the US Space Force mission to defend National Security Interests in Space as a Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Radar Systems Acquisition Logistician providing support as a member of the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) program team in Space Systems Command (SSC), System Delta 85 (SYD 85). SDA is foundational to Protecting and Defending US Space Systems that provide space-based Intelligence, Early Warning, Communications and Global Positioning services that sustain our way of life, support our national economy, and act as force multipliers in times of conflict. Odyssey Systems is looking for high-performing, passionate people ready to make a difference by joining our existing team of dedicated professionals in the SDA workforce! SYD 85 is the U.S. Space Force organization responsible for developing and delivering resilient space capabilities supporting Battle Management, Command, Control, Communication, and Space Intelligence (BMC3I). SYD 85 synchronizes acquisition efforts for critical space system capabilities and works together with Combat Forces Command (CFC) Mission Deltas to improve mission readiness. Odyssey Systems provides A&AS support to the Government in five areas: Product Support, Sustainment Engineering & Sustainment Management, Technical Order Management, Technical User Interface, and System Design, Engineering, and Integration. These tasks are executed laterally with USSF SSC/SZB depot and development contractors and with SDA stakeholders. This is a full-time position at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs, CO with the potential for 1-2 days of tele-work per week at the discretion of the government.

Requirements

Must be a US citizen
Must hold an active Secret clearance, and be eligible to obtain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance
High School Diploma
12 years of directly relevant experience with proper certifications, 5 of which must be in the DoD, OR, BA/BS degree and 8 years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), 4 of which must be in the DoD
Experience executing ILS support for DoD Acquisition programs
Self-starter: ability to receive broad guidance and objectives and independently decompose them into detailed, actionable tasks; ability to adjust in a fluid environment
Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills with demonstrated ability to build consensus in a government/contractor team environment
General understanding of DoD Space Operations and Space Systems

Nice To Haves

Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance, agreeable to polygraph
Defense Acquisition University (DAU), Department of Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management, PMP, or equivalent

Responsibilities

Support government system program office as subject matter expert in the application of the 12 Integrated Support Elements applied to the development of new systems.
Identify specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support programs
Apply knowledge of the acquisition lifecycle and product support planning during each phase and possess the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative project team
Apply familiarity or experience accomplishing a Logistics Health Assessment (LHA) and knowledge of the DoD Product Support Manager Guidebook; apply experience with defense acquisition management processes in accordance with the DoD 5000 series instructions
Develop, maintain, and coordinate life-cycle sustainment plans (LCSPs) and other logistics planning documents; review and provide input during development of system design documentation to include technical requirements documents (TRD); capability description documents (CDD); capability production documents (CPD); interface control documents (ICDs); and system specifications
Provide logistics expertise to government productອດ managers at technical interchange meetings (TIMs), design reviews, provisioning conferences, in-process reviews, test readiness reviews, event scheduling, internal staff meetings, integrated product team (IPT) and working group meetings
Provide support to make determinations and develop appropriate scope of support for Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE)
Provide relevant revisions, and reviews for product support documents including reliability, maintainability and availability reports, level of repair analysis reports, provisioning analysis, technical orders, and drawings to ensure compliance with current policies and regulations
Provide relevant input for acquisition planning activities, including writing and reviewing contract statements of work and proposals
Provide relevant input to acquisition planning activities, upgrades and modifications and studies and interface with contractor logistics support personnel and product support integrators
Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations upon government direction
Other duties as required/requested by the Government and within scope of the S3 contract
